Pakistan vs India....... Cricket :)

Yo!
Its very exciting to watch the Pak vs Ind cricket match. India scored 328, which was a very nice score.
It was really bad that somebody from the stadium threw something on one of the Indian players. Ppl behave so foolish. This is a cricket match, and not Indo-Pak war.... Huh!

Anyways, when they gave OUT to Inzamam, even v were confused... Bechaara Inzamam! He himself dint know that he was out for "obstructing the field"...
This is what today's newspaper, Kuwait Times reads:

.....Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq earned the dubious honour of becoming only the third batsman in ODI history to be given out obstructing the field, after the compatriot Rameez Raja and Indian Mohinder Amarnath.
He was dismissed in the 44th over when he blocked the ball with his bat to stop a direct hit from Suresh Raina at mid-off.
" I can't understand the rule. First I was given run out during the second Test against England at Faisalabad (last November) when I didn't take evasive action. Today I took action and I don't know why they gave me out," Inzamam said.....

For me, it wasn't a gr8 happiness that comes with the victory of winning the game, bcoz it was a Win by Duckworth Lewis rule, which I heard for the very 1st time yesterday.

Whenever any player was out, be it Indian or Pakistani, v used to change the channel to "Star News" which v call as "Masaala News" :> Hehe. Their news are really funny mostly. Its well and good that v can read Hindi, so v can read their headlines which are damn funny!

For example, if they have to say that Dhoni dismissed Abdul Razzaq, they will put headline as "Dhoni ne dho daala!". All their headlines comprise of similes, metaphors, rhyming words, poetry kinda words. Sometimes they exaggerate alot, I think they mostly do :). Now yesterday, when somebody threw something on the Indian Player, their breaking news said something like "abhi abhi khabar mili hai k peshawar main match k beech pathraao hua hai". Then they said "hamaare saath peshawar main hamaare samwaaddaata (reporter) hain, unse latest jaankaari lete hain". Now the funniest thing was, that their reporter himself did'nt know about all this. So when he was asked about the details about pelting and why the match was stopped, the reporter was like "nahin aisa kuch nahin hua hai, match isliye ruka hai kyunke yahaan drinks break hua hai" :). Upon this, u shud've seen the newsreader's face, bcoz it proved him wrong :)

Anyways, Just hoping that which ever team wins the next match, the win shud not be by Duckworth Lewis method or whateva u call it :)

Terrorism

This is something that I wrote long back. Thought of putting it here.

~~~~~ Terrorism ~~~~~
Finding terrorism everywhere,
is the present situation of man,
He is scared to tell the truth at a place,
and runs from there as fast as he can.
Oh You! Dont you see the people dying?
or you are acting as if you are blind.
But I know , the truth will prevail,
and the false will be left behind.
Can't you see that those who died were innocent,
Why did you give them severe ache?
And when we ask you why did you kill them,
you always say that it was a mistake?
Oh! You don't lie to yourself and the world,
I know,you are doing this for something else.
I am not blind & can see your aim very well,
I am not senseless, God has given me sense.
But then also, if you keep killing people,
and don't realise who is wrong, you'll know,
that God, the Almighty, will punish you,
and you'll go to hell, a place of sorrow.
Bhoooooooooooooooooot
Probably this happened last year, or end of 2003. Mom & Dad were not at home. Me, my Sis, and Bro were at home. I was making Pilao, I guess for the 2nd time in life. I wanted to give Mom a surprise, beacuse I did'nt know how to cook then.
Anyways, cooking had finished. On Kuwait TV we were watching a program, I think, "The Extraordinary", which was quite interesting. That time they showed about the real strange experience of an old Hollywood filmstar. Once his car stopped working on a very silent road. There was no hope of any car coming towards him so that he could ask for help. So, he took the empty can of petrol, and decided to go walking, searching for a car garage or petrol pump. While he was walking in the dark, there was a car in which sat a strange man on the driving seat. He looked at this actor and said in a low but very high pitch sound "I will give you a ride!". The voice was of a very scary kind. Anyways, the actor took the strange man's help because he had no other choice. After they got the petrol for his car, the strange man dropped the actor back to the place where he had been picked up. The strange man gave him a chit with his contact telephone number. About 2 days later, this actor decided to call on the strange man's number. When he dialled, a lady picked the phone up and when he asked for the strange man, the lady told him that it was her husband who died 2 years ago! The man was totally shaken hearing this!
This was what we saw on TV. And we are not among those who get afraid of watching any horror movie, or anything like that. Infact we laugh at that kinda thing. Anyways, now after watching this, I went into the kitchen, and that time heard as if my house' main door was opened, so I thought my Bro went out. When I came inside the drawing room, I asked my Sis where our Bro had gone. She said she did'nt know. Now, we both were alone at home. Just then, we heard if something fell in the kitchen. I said "It must be the kettle that must have fallen in the cupboard", because I knew I had kept it carelessey in the cupboard. I acted brave, and went to the kitchen to check what had happened. My Sis followed me. I opened the cupboard, and found the kettle in the same old position like I had kept it. Before we could say anything to each other, we heard a loud banging noise. This time it was from our bedroom. My Sis looked at me and said in a very scary + confusing + nervous voice "Andar koee hai" (Someone's there inside). And then, we both screamed "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"........... Actually its not that I thought that its a ghost, the scary part was, that "somebody" was inside, and we were alone!!!
Oh God!!! It was so horrible!!!
Just then our Bro came from our bedroom asking "What happened?" I was really startled to see him, because all this while we thought he wasn't at home. He was at home, in our bedroom, banging our old PC... :) He thought we screamed because of some fire (beacuse I was cooking that day) or that some cockroach had come :)
